Hello!

I’m Maureen (Reen)

Maureen Anthony is a New England native from a large provincial Catholic family. She was instilled with strong values of faith, family, and friends. She is the proud mother of one son, several grandchildren, and an aunt and great aunt to many.

The oldest of six children, she was a born caretaker and became a Registered Nurse who eventually completed a Business Degree. Maureen worked in corporate home health care for almost three decades. She ultimately owned and operated Tender Loving Care Home Care, a successful company in Providence, Rhode Island.

Never having written much more than corporate memos and emails, she joined several writer’s groups that gave her the skill and confidence to pursue writing.

Her current work in progress is a memoir of unexpected circumstances. In 2017, weeks after her mother’s death, one phone call changed the trajectory of her life and that of her ex-husband of over 30 years. The challenge she was faced with not only made her revisit many difficult memories of the past, but she had to utilize every aspect of her nursing and business background.

Maureen loves her home in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida, not far from the ocean. Cooking, entertaining, reading, crocheting, and writing bring her joy. If not in sunny Florida, she can be found in her cozy home at the base of the White Mountains, New Hampshire, doing the same things, always with faith, family, and many devoted friends.

Although my mother tongue is not English, you texts take me away and do not let me go, even if the dictionary has to help.
    Hemingway couldn’t do that!
Please don’t give up until the first edition is printed!
